John Fiordaliso is the founder and president of Gold Shield Executive Services. He is also an Armed Protection Specialist and retired Law Enforcement Officer.

Law Enforcement: Mr. Fiordaliso retired as a Sergeant with the New York City Police Department. At the time of his promotion to sergeant, he was the youngest member of the department to achieve that rank. Mr. Fiordaliso was a member of the NYPD Highway Patrol and retired as a sergeant with the highly regarded 9th PCT.
Martial Arts/Close Quarter Skills and Tactical Firearms: Mr. Fiordaliso is a brown belt (Nanzen Kai Karate) and has studied various defense systems. He is one of the senior instructors for the company’s “Close Quarter Options” Self Defense Program. Mr. Fiordaliso is a pistol expert and has participated in numerous NRA and Law Enforcement training programs, simulations and tournaments. Mr. Fiordaliso is also an expert instructor in the use of police baton, defense sprays and other defensive techniques.
Corporate: As president of Gold Shield Executive Services, Mr. Fiordaliso has attended numerous courses and seminars related to entrepreneurial success and business management. Mr. Fiordaliso is on the Board of Directors of BUCKS - a Staten Island Business Network Group.

Joseph Cuccia is an armed Protection Specialist and Director of Gold Shield Executive Services. He is currently assigned to several individuals and family members comprising the top tier of the Fortune / Forbes 100 Lists.
Military: Mr. Cuccia served in the United States Marine Corps and is a VietNam Combat Veteran. In addition to Jungle Warfare and Marine Corps Raider tactics, Mr. Cuccia specialized in Nuclear Biological and Chemical Warfare and received his certification in Radiological Monitoring from the University of Hawaii. Mr. Cuccia is an assistant instructor for the company’s training seminars in Counter Terrorism and WMD Tactics and Responses.
Martial Arts/Close Quarter Skills and Tactical Firearms: Mr. Cuccia is a black belt (Shotokan Karate - www.canarsiekarateclub.com) and lifelong martial arts practitioner. He is the chief instructor for the company’s Close Quarter Self Defense Program. He is also a licensed handgun expert and has participated in numerous NRA and Law Enforcement training programs and tournaments (combat/tactical and sport). Mr. Cuccia is licensed to carry a firearm in NY/NJ/CT and 34 other states.
Corporate: Mr. Cuccia retired as a Vice President of J.P. Morgan – Financial Division. His accomplishments included the design and administration of evaluation programs for Operational Internal Controls, Accounting and Financial Management Reporting. As Financial Vice President Mr. Cuccia traveled throughout Asia, Europe and the U.S. to oversee the development of Financial Reporting, Budget and Accounting Controls.

Charles Fredericksen is an Armed Protection Specialist of Gold Shield Executive Services. He is currently assigned to several individuals and family members comprising the top tier of the Fortune / Forbes 100 Lists.
Law Enforcement: Mr. Fredericksen is a recently retired Fire Marshall (armed fire department detective and arson investigator) with the New York City Fire Department. During his career, Mr. Fredericksen also served as an FDNY Emergency Rescue Officer with the honored Rescue 5 Unit of Staten Island (largely decimated as a result of the 9/11 tragedy). Mr. Fredericksen participated in comprehensive and advanced training programs for emergency medical response, extraction and rescue, emergency driving, water rescue, scuba diving and high rise building rescue.
Martial Arts/Close Quarter Skills and Tactical Firearms: Mr. Fredericksen is an armed protection officer with numerous awards for pistol safety and combat marksmanship skills.
Corporate: As a senior protection officer, Mr. Fredericksen has garnered much experience during close in protection assignments for senior corporate executives during shareholder meeting, public events and other corporate meetings. He has escorted and/or driven a variety of high profile executives and high net worth individuals, while performing such “corporate” functions as: personal concierge, administrative assistant and transportation planner/expediter. Mr. Fredericksen has also acquired a variety of entrepreneurial business skills as a result of his personal success in developing a construction contractor business.
Training: Mr. Fredericksen has attended various seminars related to Executive Protection such as: high risk personal protection (driving, medical and shooting); defensive, tactical and evasive driving; emergency medical response; surveillance detection and evasion.
Bruce Cuccia joined Gold Shield as an Investigator and Armed Protection Specialist, upon his retirement as Senior Investigator – New York State Police. He is currently assigned as personal security driver for the president/CEO of one of the largest Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Cuccia’s formal training and experience within the investigatory and dignitary protection fields have contributed significantly to his Executive Protection skills set and credentials.
Law Enforcement: Mr. Cuccia has over thirty years experience in law enforcement, investigations and dignitary protection. During his career with the NY State Police he advanced from Uniformed Trooper to Senior Investigator within the Bureau of Criminal Investigations. His duties included the supervision of other investigators and the direct investigation of high profile, major crime cases. Mr. Cuccia is well respected and formally recognized for his achievements throughout the criminal justice and judicial establishment within his areas of jurisdiction.
Military: Mr. Cuccia served with the U.S. Air Force/NY Air National Guard. He retired with the rank of Major, and was an honor graduate of the Empire State Military Academy.
Other Interests: Mr. Cuccia is an avid athlete and marathon runner. He is also a pert time tennis instructor and certified lifeguard. He is a licensed pilot (single engine/VFR). Bruce also contributes much of his personal time to a variety of charitable fundraising and community support groups. For example:

Banabas Josiah is currently a security driver within our Executive Protection Division. Mr. Josiah joined the firm’s retail security subsidiary (Gold Shield Management Consultants, Inc.) in 1998 as an entry level security guard. He quickly distinguished himself as an above average performer and was promoted to a supervisory position. Mr. Josiah continued to develop his professional skills and was assigned a lead role in our Cabaret Consulting Division. In 2002 Mr. Josiah entered the Gold Shield Executive Protection training program. He completed his basic training and proved himself successfully during his probationary, apprenticeship period as a security driver.
Phillip Robinson is an armed, Executive Protection Specialist working with Gold Shield Executive Services during high profile, protection assignments. Mr. Robinson is a combat veteran of the British Army. He has completed various degree and professional certification programs in the field of Executive Protection. Mr. Robinson has served as security driver, bodyguard and personal assistant to a wide range of high profile celebrities, dignitaries and high net worth individuals. His most recent assignment has been that of full time, lead protection agent for a private estate in Connecticut.
Erik Tjornhom has recently returned from active military duty with the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Tjornhom is currently a New York City Police Officer. In addition to his Marine Corps training, Mr. Tjornhom has attended numerous training courses and a variety of state licensing/certification programs regarding the familiarity and use of various defense weapons for law enforcement and authorized civilian use. Mr. Tjornom serves as an assistant instructor certified in such areas as: Defense Spray; Police Baton; Firearms (including assault rifle; shotgun and handgun) and Taser/Stun Gun.
